Control room design

To provide safe and effective control rooms, IFE's control room designers have great knowledge of interface design, large screen solutions and alarm systems.

A simulator-based experimental control room is the units primary tool for developing good control room solutions. They simulate oil and gas production on the Oseberg field, in addition to three different types of nuclear power plants. Human capabilities and limitations as an operator is put to the test. The test is based on whether they interpret the information correctly and if they respond effectively to discrepancies situations.

IFEs tools for control room design uses advanced interactive 3D- technology, where the product is an integrated package that provides support and accountability in the various stages of the design process.
