It has a production capacity of 10 Nm3/h hydrogen and features:

  • Two bubbling fluidized bed reactors coupled with a transport riser and loop seals, operating at near atmospheric pressure (0.5 barg max)
  • Solid circulation controlled by high temperature slide valve
  • Integrated high temperature tube heat exchanger in the regenerator coupled to an external catalytic burner for indirect heat exchange
  • Possibility of continuous solid filling and purging
  • High temperature (350oC) particle bag filters
  • PLC controlled
  • EX zone 2 classification

The SER prototype operates with calcined dolomite as CO2-sorbent but other types of sorbents (synthetic sorbents for example) can be used and tested.
