The workshop organises papers within, but are not restricted to, topics mentioned below:
- Model based approach
- Object oriented approach
- Quantitative Risk Analysis
- Economic problem of DSE
Empirical approach for DSE
Paper submission
Participants wishing to present paper are asked to electronically submit a paper.
Paper submission types
- Regular papers (4-6 pages): should describe the authors research results relevant to one of the workshop topics.
- Position papers (2-3 pages): should present open issues, authors ideas and opinions and/or early research results in the areas of DSE
Authors wishing to submit an extended-version of their paper to the special issue of the Journal of Systems and Software are encouraged to submit regular papers.
All the papers should be submitted no later than September 22nd, 2008 (deadline extended). Papers should be sent to the contacts mentioned in the contacts page. Authors will receive confirmation of their submission by e-mail.
Both the regular and position papers should follow the two-column format available at the IEEE computer society portal.
The organising committee will review the papers and notify the authors of acceptance no later than October 1st, 2008.
Publications
The papers presented at the workshop will be included in the ISSRE supplemental proceedings and will be made available at the IEEE Explore digital library.
Participants will also receive a monograph of the workshop, which includes the accepted papers, presentations and the minutes from the discussions.
Special issue of the Journal of Systems and Software
Authors of the best selected papers will be invited to submit an extended-version of their papers to the special issue on "Software Dependability" in the Journal of Systems and Software (JSS).

Selection of papers and notification to authors - October 1st, 2008.
Submission of camera ready copy - October 15th, 2008.
