IFE follows technology advances carefully, explore candidate technologies for best utilisation, and identify potential weaknesses and safety concerns associated with different solutions.
The prioritised areas are sensor validation, condition monitoring, early fault detection, diagnostics, prognostics, and new regimes for integrated advanced control. The work includes assessment of various technological proposals and development of prototypes for evaluation. Experience will be collected in the framework of the MTO-lab with demonstration of integrated systems solutions.
