Education:
PhD in Chemical Engineering by University of Zaragoza (Spain), 2010. Afterwards, 6-months international internship in IFE through the Spanish Ministry of Science. Member of staff since February 2011.

Fields of expertise:
Clean Energy Generation and Chemical Processes: Development of advanced materials for CO₂-free processes (hydrogen and hydrogen/electricity generation with CO₂ capture processes). Design, simulation and optimization of chemical processes (thermal processes - pyrolysis and gasification - on fossil fuels and waste materials, adsorption of atmospheric contaminants on solid sorbents, heterogeneous catalytic reactions for cleaning of flue-gas containing hydrocarbons). Published results in 12 publications in international scientific journals.

Professional membership and merits :

• Referee for a number of international journals including Elsevier publications (e.g. Fuel Processing Technology, Chemical Engineering Journal,...), Pakistan Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research, etc.

• Member of the Spanish Carbon Group (GEC)
