-Magnetism and magnetic colloids: structure and properties of magentic materials , interactions in and use of magnetic fluids such as ferrofluids, magnetic aggregation
-Complex liquids: structure of polymers solution and liquid crystals, ferrofluids etc
-Optical and electron microscopy, image analyzes: studies of the materials and processes above by use of optical microscopy with image analysis and scanning electron microscopy
-X-ray and neutron scattering: small angle neutron scattering of polymers and ferrofluids, magnetic neutron and x-ray diffraction sychrotron x-ray diffraction of carbon and silicate materials
-Scanning probe microscopy: AFM and STM of nanocarbon materials
-Optical tweezers: manipulating colloidal particles and measurement of interactions
