Connected to the project "FLYHY" - Fluorine substituted High Capacity Hydrides for Hydrogen storage at low working temperatures (EU project no. 226943)
Field of Expertise:
Hydrogen storage. Structure determination using diffraction methods. Currently I am working with substituting some of the hydride atoms with alkali atoms in metal hydride compounds to change the physical properties of the compounds. Solid phase synthesis, powder diffraction, absorptions- and desorptions analysis are used to synthesis and analyse the compounds. Powder neutron diffraction (PUS instrument at the JEEP II reactor) and powder X-ray diffraction collected at Institute for Energy Technology are used to determine the structure of the metal hydrides. Synchrotron X-ray diffraction is collected at the SNBL at ESRF, Grenoble, and used for refinement and in-situ measurements.
