Field of Expertise: Hydrogen Storage.
The research activities are currently focused on the mechanochemical synthesis and physical characterization of novel (complex) metal hydrides. These systems are studied by means of powder X-ray and neutron diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, IR/Raman spectroscopy, volumetric methods (Sieverts-type, PCT), temperature programmed desorption, and others. Correlations between structural features and physical properties, e.g. reaction kinetics, thermodynamic properties etc. are studied.
