Responsibilities
- Development and support of software products for surveillance and control of industrial processes
- Services for customers related to application of our own and related products
- Development and operation of software for IFE's research laboratory, HAMMLAB
Products
- Our main product is ProcSee, a versatile software tool to develop and display dynamic graphical user interfaces aimed at simulators and process surveillance & control systems.
- Core Data Viewer is a configurable software application that provides the user with an interactive three-dimensional visualisation of user-supplied reactor core data.
- Software Bus is a communication library for efficient data distribution from a data source to a number of operator stations. Data types and variables can be defined at run-time.
Services
We offer to take part in projects and to provide consultancy services within surveillance and control of industrial processes. Naturally, many of our projects are related to applications based on our own products, but we also have experience in using commercial off-the-shelf software and have been involved in a wide range of application areas and programming techniques.
Competence
Our section has expertise in
- Object-oriented design and programming, primarily C, C++ and Java
- Design of distributed applications
- Microsoft Foundation Classes, Win32 API
- X-Windows and Motif
- Microsoft COM, ActiveX and .NET
- Web-technology
- OPC
- Perl- and script programming
- Database systems
Our expertise is based on more than 20 years of experience with development of graphics systems for surveillance and control of complex industrial processes. Nuclear power plants and the oil&gas industry have been the main focus areas throughout this period. The research program in HAMMLAB gives us a unique opportunity to test new concepts in a realistic full-scale environment.
