The Solar Energy department at IFE was established in January 2008, but solar energy R&D activities have been ongoing at IFE for several years.
Our activity is built mainly around the solar cell laboratory at IFE, which contains a dedicated line for producing silicon-based solar cells, unique in the Nordic countries. Additionally, a well-equipped solar cell characterization laboratory is also present for measuring all kinds of structural, electrical and optical properties.
