Design & Development

The Design and Development Section is responsible for construction of mechanical and electrical systems and components. The Section consists of 5 full-time and 3 part-time engineers. The Section’s competence is within power engineering, instrumentation, automation, PLS and mechanical construction.

Reactor Operations

The Reactor Operation Section is responsible for reactor operation when the reactor is on power, and supervision in shut down periods. The Section follows a full-time 6-shift system. The Section has approximate 30 employees; mainly shift workers on 24 hours reactor operation. The reactor staff are shared on reactor engineers, shift leaders and reactor operators on shift work in addition to the section head and a senior reactor engineer on ordinary daytime.

Safety

Main tasks are security and quality assurance at the Reactor Project. The Section has 3 full-time employees, in addition to part-time employees.

Maintenance & Installation
-
Working plan is dependent on the reactor is operated or at shut down. When the reactor is on power, much preparatory work is done for shut down periods, design and production of components and assemblies. The Maintenance and Installation Section has about 25 employees divided in a mechanical group and an electrical group.
