The partners in the project is IFE, CNRS (France), CNR-ISC (Italy), FutureCarbon GmbH (Germany), Max Planck Gesellschaft (Germany), DEMOKRITOS (Greece), Universitetet i Oslo (Norway) and FZK (Germany). FZK is also Coordinator for the project.
IFE will contribute to the work in NANOHy mainly by bringing in their expertise in structural investigations of nanoscale systems by small-angle neutron scattering (by the SANS-instrument), in-situ X-ray and neutron diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. Combination of diffraction studies with TEM will be important for characterization of microstructure, both to determine particle/grain sizes and microstrain in the material. The group will contribute to characterize the nanostructured templates and hydrides and in the characterization of the nanocomposites.
Total EU budget is 1 295 975 €. IFE's share is 359 730 €
