Holt, Arve

Arve Holt har vært ansatt ved IFE siden 2000 og har bygget opp Instituttets solcellevirksomhet. Holt har vært avdelingsleder ved avdeling Solenergi siden opprettelsen i 2008. Nåværende virksomhet fokuserer på utvikling av silisiumbaserte solceller i nært samarbeid med norske og internasjonale partnere. Holt er koordinator for et “Nordic Centre of Excellence in Photovoltaics”, han leder flere prosjekter ved IFE og han veileder for tiden 3 PhD-studenter. Holt har organisert flere internasjonale seminarer om solceller.

Arve Holt har mange års erfaring fra Universitetet i Oslo. Han disputerte i 1991 over emnet "On High Temperature Corrosion of Metals,  i) Sulphate induced corrosion of iron  ii) On the defect structure of Cr₂O₃”. Siden har han jobbet seks år ved Senter for Materialteknikk ved Universitetet i Oslo, blant annet med alternative anodematerialer og korrosjon. Holt har også utviklet CrystalDesigner, et Mac-basert verktøy for studier av krystallstrukturer.
